my mind makes me who i am
my mind makes other people who they are
my mind is capable of uncontrollable passion
my mind is capable of inescapable ire

my mind helps me cope with love
my mind is not always correct
my mind loves many people
save what my mind knows except

my mind is a child's mind
my mind is a parent's mind
it is a student's mind
it is a teacher's mind

it has often been quite destructive
but it surely loves being kind

my mind has always thought
